Donkin, Bryan
(22 mar. 1768, Sandree, Northumberland, Inglaterra–27 feb. 1855, Londres).

Inventor británico. Inicialmente aprendiz de un fabricante de papel, perfeccionó una versión de la máquina de Fourdrinier. Estableció una fábrica para producir y enlatar sopas de verduras y carnes preservadas para la Royal Navy. Con un impresor desarrolló un precursor de la prensa rotativa y un cilindro de composición de impresión. Se graduó de ingeniero civil en Londres, recibió dos medallas de oro de la Society of Arts y fue uno de los fundadores de la British Institution of Civil Engineers (Institución británica de ingenieros civiles) en 1818.
